Six Martinsville and Henry County businesses were awarded $46,000 in funding, with four businesses from the City of Martinsville receiving $39,500, as winners of the Martinsville-Henry County Chamber's Partnership for Economic Growth (C-Peg) Grow MHC Boot Camp.
The four Martinsville based businesses are:
- Wigs Unlimited: Awarded $8,000 to assist with marketing and the purchase of a Point-of-Sale system.
- N&T Transportation Service: Awarded $9,500 to assist with the purchase of a transport vehicle and one-year rental at the West Piedmont Business Development Center.
- Backspace Coffee: Awarded $10,000 towards the purchase of a Coffee Roaster that complements the $15,000 owner investment towards the purchase of the equipment.
- The 3D Shop: Awarded $12,000 to complement the company's $15,000 investment in expansion efforts.
The funding is provided by the City of Martinsville and Henry County. Additional funding was made available by the Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission.
