City Council elections are held every two years and terms are staggered for five Council members elected at large to four-year terms.
Overview
Council members' collective understanding of community needs, knowledge of cross-governmental issues, and their vision of the future provides the foundation for basic neighborhood-level services and the development of future citywide plans. City Council develops a strategic plan which sets forth program goals and objectives and lays out action steps for the City administration in order to achieve Council's goals.
