Public Safety: Maintain a Safe Environment for City-Henry County Residents

Activity
- The MPD will be fully staffed December 1, 2017. 6 officers currently in the academy to graduate end of March 2018 (Guy Cassady - November 13, 2017)

- MF & EMS utilizes a part-time program to help maintain a minimum staffing of seven. We also use this as a hiring pool. Although this is well below what NFPA and many others recommend, we make that work within the budget available. (Teddy Anderson - July 12, 2016)
- MF & EMS has a well-developed career development plan. The plan provides has an easy-to-follow path to acquire the necessary education and experience in order to be eligible for promotions. These criteria are also used during our promotional processes. (Teddy Anderson - July 11, 2016)
