Activity

  1. Application is completed and waiting on DCJS approval. We anticipate January 1st completion. 85% complete (Guy Cassady - November 13, 2017)
  2. The application has been submitted to DCJS. The next step is to get CCPC Proclamation to City Council. (Sean Dunn - June 14, 2017)
  3. Deputy Chief E. Cassady is preparing our application. We anticipate submission in December 2016. (Sean Dunn - October 24, 2016)
  4. The VA DCJS Certified Crime Prevention Community program consists of 12 core elements augmented by 7 additional elements. The MPD has evaluated the program and plan to submit an application. If approved, we will be one of only 14 certified cities. (Sean Dunn - June 21, 2016)
